Professional Measuring Techniques

PROVIDE ALL MEASUREMENTS IN INCHES

For the Finish Length of the Drape

Measure from your ideal level where the top of the rod would be to the floor. (It is recommended that the rod is installed with minimum of 6" above the top of the frame). Also include the additional few inched extra in the finish drapery length for the desired puddle. For more accuracy deduct the actual ring size from the drapery length.

For the Finish Width of the Drape

Measure from outside of the frame to outside. add at least 5" out on each side for the finish width or the actual rod size. (Make sure that you would have enough space left for the extended finial which will be chosen).

SPECIAL NOTES

Typically all draperies are ordered as a pair, (drape opening in the center) or as a single panel (drape opening on one side). All the custom made silk draperies will have a Flannel type interlining or Bump as it is called in parts of Europe for a nicer and more luxurious texture. It is valued at $5.00 per yard which we will provide at no extra charge when the fabric and drapery order is placed at the same time. (All the silk draperies in the catalogue are interlined).

How to Measure for the Shades

If the shade will be applied on the outside of the frame, include minimum of 6" to the finish width (3" for each side), and include minimum of 6" to the finish length or as desired. If the shade is applied on the inside of the frame, deduct at least 0.5" from the width and add 2" to the inside length for the final dimension.
